🧁 Ingredients

For the chocolate cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

3/4 cup cocoa powder

2 tsp baking powder

1½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup hot coffee or hot water

For the coconut pecan frosting:

1 cup evaporated milk

1 cup brown sugar

3 egg yolks

1/2 cup butter

1 tsp vanilla

1½ cups shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well.

4. Stir in hot coffee slowly.

5. Pour into greased cake pans.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cool completely.

Frosting:

1. In a saucepan, cook evaporated milk, brown sugar, egg yolks, and butter over medium heat.

2. Stir until thickened.

3. Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut, and pecans.

4. Cool slightly, then spread over cake layers.
