Filet Mignon with Shrimp

Ingredients

2 filet mignon steaks
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
Shrimp:

8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
Optional: paprika or chili flakes
Sauce (optional but classic):

ΒΌ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp grated Parmesan
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions

Cook the steaks:
Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over high heat.
Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or to desired doneness.
Remove and let rest.
Cook the shrimp:
In the same pan, add butter and garlic.
Add shrimp, season, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
Make the sauce (optional):
Lower heat, add cream and butter to the pan.
Stir in Parmesan and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thick.
Serve:
Place filet mignon on plate, top with shrimp, and spoon sauce over.
