Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm milk

1/4 cup sugar

1 packet active dry yeast (about 7g)

2 eggs

1/3 cup butter (softened)

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

1/2 cup butter (softened)

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Glaze (optional but delicious):

100g cream cheese

2 tablespoons butter (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons milk (as needed)

💡 Preparation Steps

Activate the Yeast:
In a bowl, mix warm milk and sugar. Add yeast and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Make the Dough:
Add the eggs, butter, and salt. Then gradually add flour and knead until the dough becomes soft and smooth.
Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Roll Out the Dough:
Place the dough on a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle.
Add the Filling:
Spread the softened butter over the dough.
Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle it evenly on top.
Shape the Rolls:
Roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut into equal rolls.
Place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Second Rise:
Cover and let the rolls rest for 30–45 minutes to rise again.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Prepare the Glaze:
Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
Spread over the warm Cinnamon Rolls.
