Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prep the potatoes
Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
Bake
Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Add Parmesan
Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese and parsley if using. Return to the oven for 5 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Serve
Serve hot with ketchup, garlic aioli, or ranch dressing.
Tips and Variations
For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before baking.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and melt.
Add a pinch of paprika or chili flakes for a little heat.
Serving Suggestion:
These fries pair perfectly with burgers, grilled chicken, or as a game-day snack all on their own.
